I like the spikes in the front...or sometimes the lightly gelled back eddie munster look...but never a mullet.
a guy with simple hair styles may impress me but don't get spikes or stretch(long hair).but you may use gel with a back hair style.didn't you understand with back hair style.you just take a comb and get it backward after applying gel.

Mostly they were clean cut and used products such as vaseline hair formula, brylcreem, pomade, and training gel for very specific combing styles.. So imagine a piece of sculpture reinforced with a thickening agent and you have it. You should also consider it was wartime. So hair was short by regulation and most of the young men were in the military. My Dad was a WWII veteran and he had a very specific way of combing his hair. The operative word is comb. Have fun with this one.

get a hair straightener. like a really thin one.... they sell really tiny ones called minis.. to straighten your hair its good for shorter hair. I know you said nothing long but they are sorta in between. and i think they would look good!Whats a good Mens Hairstyle for me?
okay... i couldn't see the first picture because my computer is stupid... but from the second picture i would suggest three things so you can pick...


1- shorter on the sides and longer up top with the front spiked


2- bout an inch trim with a deep conditioning treatment to seal the hair cuticle (to make it soft and smooth) and a blow dry


3- i like the curls so don't go ultra short, but a trim, evening the neck line and sideburns and just getting your hair angles cleaned up can make all the difference...

Like the first person said, it really depends on what the guy looks like. But actually I like fohawks on guys :) (Google it if you don't know that style.) I think the short hairstyle looks the best on most guys though. I like the shaggy look too. Medium length looks good on about 1/80 guys. Long? EW.
Personally i like the shaggy cut but a lot of men are wearing their hair that way now.If its important for you to be unique i wouldn't do that one.

My last hair cut was a #2 all over, now its about 1.5 inches all over.

It's been very many years since longer hair appeared on men in business. Perhaps it's about time to make a come-back.





One thing that men have learned is that shorter hair is a lot easier to look after. A quick shower at the gym, a quick brush and you are all set. Longer hair means more grooming, careful drying and constant checking to be sure it is still in place. We don't want to do that again!





Some places of business are extremely conservative: dark suits always, white shirts, ties, and short hair. Some other places are a little bit relaxed... coloured shirts, maybe longer hair. But there are a few men, in sales usually or waiters, that have longer hair and unshaven.. trying to look like a model wanna-be, and just end up looking rather scruffy and unkempt.





So take a good look at where you are working (if you want to still work there) and how much leeway they will allow as to hair.

Make sure the layers on the top are shorter than the rest.


Also, some dark blonde highlights would complete the look, if you want it exactly like that.

Nice choice! this is one of those styles that doesn't really have a name. I'd print it out and take it to your stylist.


As far as styling it use a putty, wax, pomade, or paste. Rub it between your hands to emulsify (warm up and soften), run it thru your hair, finger style it in a forward motion, bringing the top slightly to the center and the bang up off the face.


Your product choice will be important here, choose something firm and matte, like Redken Roughpaste.

Okay, I am now in the real world out of college and i would like a decent hairstyle without using clippers. I would like some texture i guess, (sorry don't know much about hair) and some recommendations of products to use i.e. manipulator, pomade, or whatever. I want it relativly short but long enough to have bangs and be able to comb or style it. My hair is straight, very thick, and i got kind of a square to oval face, if that helps any. It really bothered me when I got a haircut because I would spike it - which looks good - but then it would grow out to the point where I couldn't exactly spike it but I couldn't put it down either. Now my hair is in that in between point and i found that with the right gel (or by keeping the natural oils in your hair) that I can put it up just by running my hand through it. It's not a gelled look but a more natural style. This look best if the sides are still pretty short and the top is longer. I still feel very neat although I haven't had it cut in awhile. Hope I explained this well enough.

This Memphis guy has what's called a ';fauxhawk'; (pronounced FOE-Hock). It's a play on the term ';mohawk'; which is a shaved bald head except for a streak of spiked hair down the middle. This guy doesn't have a bald head, he just pushes the hair into the middle making it a fake mohawk - a fauxhawk.

Personaly I like the fuax hawk. Its sexy, Easy to fix. Its really popualr to at my salon. Another one is just a regular clipper cut w/ a 4 guard on the side and a 6 on top. Facial hair...scruff is hot. So is the goat -t hair w/o the mustache... just on the chin.

I'm a pretty vein guy, I used to have shoulder length blonde hair but it gets pretty annoying in the summer when you're out doing extreme sports like windsurfing, so i cut it short last year.


I used to use straighteners when my hair was long because its semi wavy and i can't cope with that for some reason.

I think you are describing an Ivy League. It goes by several other names. Standard Crew Cut, Long Crew Cut, Princeton Cut, Harvard Clip, French Crop, Short Pomp etc


Gel can be used but the preferable way to groom a Crew Cut is with Control wax. AKA Butch wax. Wax does not set up a stiff hold like a gel so the hair can be combed, brushed and tousled as much as one wishes and then brushed into place. Lucky Tiger Cru Butch is a traditional Butch Wax that is still made. Lucky Tiger has a website. I like Krew Comb which is a sort of whipped/hydrogenated butch wax available at all Sally Beauty Supply Stores. A Nation wide Chain. Check their website for a location.


Grooming a Crew Cut takes a few seconds:


1) Towel dry hair.


2)Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.


3) Transfer wax to palms.


4) Smooth palms over hair.

I usually use hair clay first then go over it with gel until it looks about right, too much gel and it just looks a big sloppy mess and too little and it just looks dry and geek-ish!

i dont know about punk, but if you like alternative rock/grunge: chad kroeger of nickelback, he's the lead singer. pretty awesome if you ask me. if not that then id at least something that isnt really wispy. people at my school sometimes have long wispy hair and it is reallllly gay.

I'd go with an ivy league aka long crew cut instead of a #2 buzz cut aka short butch haircut. Something like this:

The proportionally much greater length on top towards the front hairline should make your hair appear thicker. The two above are about 1.5'; at the center of the front hairline graduated shorter on top to about 0.5'; at the back of the crown.

Probably 5/8'; up at the front hairline, graduated to 1/4'; at the back of the crown. The mid sides look like they are around #0A blade length(2.5 day's hair growth) to #1 blade length(5 day's hair growth)tapered down to #000 blade length(one day's hair growth) to #0A length at the ears and nape, but it is difficult to really say for sure, and we don't know how fresh the cut is.
